Park
A transnational litigation hub defending nature through the law
Our Mission
Park supports, coordinates, and accelerates cases that protect biodiversity, ecosystems, and the integrity of protected areas. We are piloting in the Western Balkans and building a model that can expand globally.
We believe effective environmental justice requires more than individual lawsuits. Park builds legal infrastructure: a network of experts, case support, and cross-border collaboration that transforms local violations into systemic accountability.
What We Do
Case Identification and Support
We work with communities, NGOs, and local partners to identify critical threats to protected areas and develop them into legal cases. Park integrates whistleblower intelligence, scientific research, and legal strategy to address issues such as illegal construction, encroachment, and resource extraction.
Expert Network and Rapid Response Roster
Park maintains a roster of legal, ecological, and policy experts who can be called upon to assist when cases arise, offering legal analysis, evidence review, or technical insight as needed.
Capacity Building and Collaboration
Through workshops and convenings, we bring together lawyers, conservationists, and scientists to turn raw intelligence into legal action and build shared strategies that strengthen environmental governance across borders.
Why It Matters
Protected areas often fall through the cracks due to weak enforcement, conflicting interests, and complex governance. Park closes that gap by:
Turning local intelligence into actionable, legally sound evidence
Linking community experience with cross-border legal strategy
Building lasting accountability infrastructure so that each case contributes to systemic change
