Founded in 2021, AllRise launched with The Planet vs. Bolsonaro, the first attempt to hold a head of state criminally accountable for climate crimes. This debut case reframed environmental destruction as a human rights violation and proved that even the most powerful can be challenged. From there, The Planet vs. Austria pushed the European Court of Human Rights to confront destructive soil sealing policies. These early cases showed how strategic litigation can shift systems and inspire action far beyond the courtroom.
